The Saturday after Christmas, while eating dinner with my siblings in a very cold restaurant in Seattle,
my shoulder began to ache. That night the pain in my shoulder was like a multitude of knives
slicing all of my nerves and I could not move my arm. The next night the pain was so severe I was
prepared to go to the emergency room for any relief, but was able to see Dr. Liu Monday morning.

He was able to relieve the pain and diagnose my affliction as “frozen shoulder.” Reading about
“frozen shoulder” on the web was very depressing. I could expect to be out of work for 2 or 3 months.
My brother-in-law was just going back to work after a 3 month leave of absence due to “frozen shoulder.”
I am a CPA and the next three months are the busiest time of the year for us. But Liu assured me that
I would be well in 10 sessions.

For the first two weeks I could not drive or sleep lying down, but with each treatment my shoulder
increased in mobility and the pain lessened. He also gave me herbs that increased circulation and
decreased the pain. I was able to return to partial work schedule mid January and since February a full
schedule. I went swimming last night and was able to have full range of motion. What a blessing to be
able to stretch my arm over my head!

I credit a good portion of my quick recovery to the expertise of Dr. Liu. I have had two acupuncturists
Before Dr. Liu but they did not compare to a true Chinese acupuncturist. It is like eating Chinese food
prepared by American’s vs. prepared by native Chinese, “you can taste the difference.” With
acupuncture you can “feel the difference.” On my very first visit it was obvious that Dr. Liu knew so well
what he was doing. The quick recovery of “frozen shoulder” totally proved this. I recommend Dr. Liu
to my friends and clients.
